Ador Diagnostics Appoints Nadhim Zahawi as Chairman of Advisory Board

Medical diagnostic company welcomes esteemed business leader, former health minister and COVID-19 vaccine rollout tzar to lead its Advisory Board

Ador Diagnostics, a disruptive leader in the field of molecular medical diagnostics, is delighted to announce the appointment of Nadhim Zahawi as Chairman of its Advisory Board. Mr. Zahawi, a distinguished leader with a wealth of experience in government and business, will provide strategic guidance and advice to support Ador’s mission of revolutionising healthcare through cutting-edge diagnostic solutions as it enters the next phase of its growth strategy to commercialise its extensive research and development.

Mr. Zahawi's illustrious career spans various sectors, including as the co-founder of the international market research firm YouGov and roles in the UK government including as Chancellor of the Exchequer, Secretary of State for Education and Minister responsible for COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment.

"We are thrilled to welcome Nadhim Zahawi to Ador," said Zvi Marom, Chairman of Ador Diagnostics Limited. "His visionary leadership and unparalleled expertise will be instrumental as we continue to innovate and expand our diagnostic technologies. With Nadhim providing strategic advice to our team, we are confident in our ability to foster new partnerships with leading medical bodies and stakeholders globally and make significant strides in early disease detection and personalised medicine. His appointment marks a significant milestone for the company as it accelerates its efforts to bring groundbreaking diagnostic solutions to market."

"I am delighted to join Ador to chair its Advisory Board," said Nadhim Zahawi. "The potential for health tech to change the world is only just starting to be grasped. For individuals and for families Ador Diagnostics provides a concrete opportunity for a healthier, better life and a release from suffering and concern. For whole nations struggling under ever-increasing healthcare budgets, they will provide amazing tools to help transform treatment. I saw the impact great healthcare innovations have through the Covid pandemic, and am excited to help Ador take the fight to disease and ill health and change the face of diagnosis."

Ador Diagnostics is at the forefront of developing disruptive diagnostic solutions that aim to transform the way diseases are detected and managed. The company's proprietary technology is based on a patented rolling circle amplification (RCA) protocol. Ador’s diagnostic panels can diagnose up to 100 different pathogens from an infectious disease, allowing fast and accurate diagnosis and prescription of the correct antibiotic or treatment.

The company has recently begun pre-clinical validation at the Lazzaro Spallanzani National Institute for Infectious Diseases in Rome, a leading centre for infectious disease research and treatment. This follows the successful completion of pre-clinical trials, which were conducted at the Tzafon Medical Center in Israel, to confirm the validity of the biological process that the company has developed and that it can be performed within its cartridge and analyser device.

In addition, following the success of the pre-clinical trials, Ador, in collaboration with the Tzafon Medical Center, received a grant from the Israel Innovation Authority to develop a panel for the diagnosis of stomach ulcers. Through its extensive R&D, the company has under development and further plans to develop a large range of panels to diagnose other infectious diseases, such as tuberculosis, meningitis, sepsis and sexually transmitted diseases. As new pathogens emerge, Ador’s technology can be adapted and replicated to capture them.
